Overdue Meme

I told someone about 8 months ago that I’d do this meme and since I’m not one to rush into anything I thought that now was as good a time as any.  The task?  Share six random things about myself.  Because my life is nothing if not random this should be a piece of cake.  Mmmm…cake.  Oh!  Sorry.

1.  I’m double-jointed in both my ring fingers.  Yeah.  How’s that for starting this meme off with a bang?

2.  I’ve been craving blueberry pancakes for the last three weeks, but haven’t done anything about it. This can’t go on.  I think I need a government funded bail-out for a short stack.

3.  One of my favorite shows on TV is Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern.  It’s actually pretty weird, watching Andrew eat things like balut and grasshoppers and snotty sea snails (say that three times real fast).  If hosted by anyone else this show would have bombed because most of the foods are foul.  But, Andrew is so jovial and downright likable that it’s a kick to watch him down every revolting morsel.  Bon appetit, Andrew!  If you keep eating, I’ll keep watching.

4.  I’m so eager for the election to be over that I have stopped watching any form of news programing.  Sorry, Brit.  I’ll be back on November 5th.

5.  I’m in love with my church.  I’d also tell you that I’m in love with my pastor, but that just sounds wrong unless you understand what it means to be shepherded by a man who is truly a pastor, then you’d understand completely and you’d say, “I’m in love with my pastor, too.”  My pastor’s father died recently and after I heard the news I sat down and cried.  I cried on & off all that day.  I’d never met his dad, but I cried nonetheless.  God bless you, Mr. Albert.  You done good.  Your son is a wonderful man and I’m thrilled to say he’s my pastor.

6.  I’m not really a collector, but I love red mugs.  I have about 6 different red mugs and I’m always on the look out for the next one.  I don’t buy sets of red mugs, just singles.  I like that none of my red mugs match.  I like drinking my coffee out of a red mug.  It tastes better that way.
