Hebrews 10:24, “…and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds”.
1. Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ
2. Devote themselves to observation, interpretation and application of God’s Word in their lives
3. Encourage God-centered behavior and thought
Welcome to week eight of Devout Devotions. Lets examine ourselves in the light of Scripture. I hope that more of you will take the time to participate this week, either in comments or on your own blog. See you in the thread.
How are you growing in relationship with God? How are you choosing His purpose for yourself over your own? What choices this week have you made concerning your relationship to God?

Being late to this, I can answer from what our weekend just contained–the Homeschool Convention. This was our third year there, and like the first two, I realized that homeschooling has become yet another way that God is sanctifying me. That answers the first question of how I am growing in relationship with God. For I’m certainly praying more while homeschooling.
Secondly, the many, many days that my purpose for myself would very lazily and self-indulgently involve a whole day of popcorn and movies, I have been given the call and choice to choose His purpose of homeschooling over my own purposes. Here again, His work calls me to embrace His purpose as my own heart’s desire.
Thirdly, my choices this week involved attending some seminars where I felt quite exposed in my errors of homeschooling. Knowing that a repentant heart receives His restoration have been a comfort and encouragement.
