“I just don’t get it. Conservatives decry the ‘public option’ in Obamacare but routinely choose the “public option” when it comes to their child’s education.” – Spunky Homeschool
And, to this I say a hearty amen! I have no doubt that this will anger those public school parents, but more than that I hope it really makes them think.

Yep! My thoughts exactly! So much anger at the thought of the government ruling over their health (rightly so, I completely agree that we should be angry), but complete and blind acceptance when it comes to ruling over the minds of their children.
Sad indeed!
Right on!
We’ve had some MAJOR changes go on in our lives. I thought for few days, “it would be so much easier if we sent boy child to school so I could get more work done!”
But, we’re persevering and he’s excelling. It’s a sacrifice I’m more than willing to make.
AND….don’t even think of getting me started on our president’s “manditory volunteer program.” Can you say, “Hitler Youth?”
Might I add that many Christian parents choose the religious form of public option in the spiritual nurture of their children? This comes in the form of relying on church programming to handle all aspects of their children’s discipleship. I was once in a church where the chairman of the deacons said, “We need to get a full-time youth minister in here to disciple my kids for me.”
Amen, Suzanne.
I love this quote, but where did you get it? I didn’t see it on her blog or Twitter.
I think it was on Facebook, Jeana
