Out & About

by Everyday Mommy on November 9, 2009

It’s been a busy weekend and today will be busy, too.  My beloved friend Billie underwent bilateral knee replacement at the end of last week and we’re helping her return home today.  If you have a moment, would you please remember her in prayer?

I also need to get caught up and implement a new homeschool course called Spelling Power.  Johnny’s “reading switch” is now officially on.  The days of Mom and Dad spelling in order to talk over his head are gone.  Hmmm…I guess it’s on to hand signals and knowing looks.

But, before I get going I wanted to share this link with you.  Eat at Home is one of my new favorite stops.  This is a wonderful, flavorful, family-friendly food blog by Tiffany.  It’s chock full of homey, delicious recipes – AND – weekly menu plans plus shopping lists.  When I’m really busy, help like this makes all the difference.  I can’t wait to try her Honey Hoisin Slow Cooker Chicken.  Be sure to stop by and visit Eat at Home and tell her Everyday Mommy sent you.

I’ll be back to giving thanks with Rebecca tomorrow.

Saying a prayer for your friend Jules.

Thanks for that food blog link. Man, her recipes sound good!

I LOVED Spelling Power. Be sure to read the instructions carefully to get the most out of it!! It seems hard (for the teacher) at first to figure out how to use it, but it’s fantastic!!
