This is my first year to participate in Rebecca Writes annual November of Thanksgiving and I pray that you’ll consider joining in as well.

I’d planned on writing a post of thanksgiving about my beloved friend, Elle. But, it seems that insanity is transpiring against me. Johnny and I were up bright and early this morning, quickly putting on our slippers and gobbling our breakfast. In the midst of it all Johnny decided that today was going to be a Chatterbox Day. Chatterbox Day is when a little boy cannot keep his mouth shut for more than 30 seconds at a time. This means talking about anything and everything accompanied by sound effects galore. Explosions, crashes, booms and bangs. Chatterbox Day also means that Mommy’s concentration level is wanting. Days like this make me understand why my own mother blessed the silence.
So, today I have to confess that I’m thankful for silence…as infrequent as it can be.

I remember those days. Fondly.
I miss them, believe it or not! You will, too!
Because things are a little crazy at my house right now, too, I misread your second sentence to say that “insanity is inspiring me.” I was going to ask for your secret!
When you have Chatterbox Days at your house, consider it a reminder to pray for friends who have house full of girls!
You crack me up. I love you, sis.
I whispered that comment so as not to interrupt the silence. Shhhhh….
