About
I am a rather outspoken Christian woman, redeemed by grace in my youth. I’ve spent most of my adult life in the workforce, as a cemetery and funeral director. My education is in graphic design and I have worked as a freelance commercial artist since 1984. I am a leader with Precept Ministries International and have been learning and teaching the inductive Bible study method since 1994. I am married to a wonderful, Godly man who is a professional cartoonist and an elder in our church. I’m the mother of a delightful and tender-hearted little boy whom we homeschool.
I began Everyday Mommy in 2005 as a way to share stories and pictures about our son for family members who lived far away. Eventually it became a personal journal, an expression of my thoughts on an array of topics. If the blog has a primary focus, it is, “Challenging Christian women to think Biblically and live obediently”.
I write about…
• Christianity from a Reformed perspective
• Everyday life
• The missionfield of motherhood
• Being a foodie
• Menopause
I’m somewhat of a lightning rod, and I’ve taken my share of tongue-lashings from other bloggers for being too outspoken. Needless to say, I’m still at it.
